WHY WHAT WE DO MATTERS?

Mind, Brain, Body (MBB) is a start-up community interest company that aims to support young people using holistically interactive activities/interventions such as creative arts, sports, LEGO-based therapy, mindfulness, and more. The goal of MBB is to help young people maintain their mental health and overall well-being while raising awareness of mental health difficulties amongst young people. The ultimate goal is to open up modernized youth community centres across the UK while reducing waiting lists, stigma, and discrimination about youth mental health. There's a crisis in mental health children's services, and MBB is working to address this important issue.

One of the projects that MBB has undertaken is the opening of an online store that sells eco-friendly clothing with handmade designs called dæduly. Dæduly aims to help raise awareness of mental health issues through clothing designs, art prints and more. As MBB is not funded, this will help to generate income where all profits go towards projects supporting young people. This is a great initiative that can help make a real difference in the lives of young people who are struggling with their mental health.

So why does what MBB do matter? Here are a few reasons:

Mental health is important :

Mental health is a crucial aspect of overall health and well-being. Unfortunately, many young people today are struggling with mental health issues, and the current system is not equipped to handle the demand for services. MBB is working to address this gap by providing holistic support to young people through a variety of interactive activities and interventions.

Young people need support:

Young people today face a variety of challenges, from academic pressure to social media and peer pressure. They must have access to support and resources that can help them navigate these challenges and maintain their mental health and overall well-being. MBB is working to provide this support through their programs and initiatives.

Raising awareness is crucial:

Raising awareness of mental health issues is an important step in reducing stigma and discrimination. By opening up an online store that sells eco-friendly clothing with handmade designs related to mental health, MBB is helping to raise awareness of mental health issues and generate income to support its programs. Moreover, by allowing individuals to share their experiences, thoughts and feelings through online groups, a forum and interviews.

Holistic support is effective:

Holistic support, such as the interactive activities and interventions that MBB provides, has been shown to be effective in improving mental health and overall well-being. By providing young people with a variety of options for support, MBB is working towards helping as many young people as possible and decreasing the further development of mental health difficulties experienced by young people.
